It is the mission of Marion Construction Company to provide a safe work environment for all employees, as well as providing for the safety of subcontractors and the general public. Marion Construction’s management will continue to provide the leadership and support in order to develop and maintain an effective Health and Safety Program.

Marion Construction has established a strategic plan. Marion Construction confidently believes their plan will lead them to fulfill their safety mission. Specifically, Marion has identified the following strategic goals:

  1. Improve workplace safety and health for all employees.
  2. Increase management and employee awareness, commitment, communication and involvement with safety and health.
  3. Increase the level of employee’s safety knowledge through a comprehensive training program.
  4. To foster and encourage a safety culture where all injuries are unacceptable and avoidable.

It is Marion’s belief that if their strategies for reaching these goals are adhered to, than Marion Construction as a company can meet their mission and return each employee home safely at the end of the day.

Marion Construction’s commitment to safety includes participating in the Construction Industry DrugFree Workplace Program. Marion Construction ensures a drug-free workplace by participating in pre-hire screening, post-incident testing, random testing as well as reasonable suspicion testing.

Marion Construction is proud of their safety record as is reflected in the NCCI Experience Modification ratings which are among the best. With recognitions from the Associated General Contractors – Oregon Chapter for Excellence in Safety, Marion Construction continues to be recognized in the industry for their dedication to safety.
